The West London Day Centre was featured on an interesting radio report over the weekend.
Emma Jane Kirby, the BBC Paris correspondent, has been doing a series looking at George Orwell’s book Down and Out in Paris and London and comparing it with the situation today, including readings from the book and interviews with homeless people. Some of these were recorded in the West London Day Centre. It was featured on the Broadcasting House Radio 4 programme on Sunday morning and can still be heard on the BBC iplayer. (The item is about 45 minutes into the programme)
