Homelessness, vulnerable Mental Health and illnesses are things that are close to my heart. More and more people are on the streets, have gone through trauma and suffer not only physically but mentally. West London Mission empowers people affected by homelessness, poverty and trauma to live more fulfilling lives since 1887. They offer affordable counselling to the community, housing, overcoming addictions groups and other skills. I have volunteered at their breakfast morning and watched a rainbow full of people step through their door which really gave the meaning of “never judge a book by it’s cover”. Homelessness is not just limited to the people on the streets, there is many uncounted for and this amazing charity strives to make a change and the people who are apart of it put so much love and smiles into what they do it really is inspirational. On Friday 23 August I decided to run the Royal Parks Run but WLM was showing sold-out, eager to take part I gave them a ring and they got back to me with 1 space left with the deadline that day. It was meant to be, so please sponsor me by donating to make a difference. I’m going to try run it in 2hrs 15mins so fingers crossed!
