WLM would like to thank Howard de Walden Estate for organising their London to Paris cycle ride in aid of our services supporting people affected by homelessness, poverty and trauma in London.

Over three days and 330km cyclists will ride from The Howard de Walden Estate in the heart of London to the Tour Eiffel in the centre of Paris. This charity ride provides a fantastic challenge, excellent networking opportunities and a chance to change the lives of those most in need.

When: Thursday 26th – Sunday 29th September 2019

HdWE Chief Executive, Andrew Hynard, comments:

It’ll be an early start on 26th September for 35 of our occupiers and customers, who, along with a team of 10 from The Howard de Walden Estate will set off to cycle from London to Paris to raise funds for West London Mission. The Estate is keen to foster the community spirit in Marylebone and this is a great way to connect our medical specialists, office occupiers, residents, retailers, hoteliers and teachers, whilst raising money for a wonderful locally-based charity. The ride has already raised £10,000 from generous sponsors and we are hoping to double that amount as we have seen at first hand the marvellous work they do.

Nick Darling from HdWE who will cycle with his colleagues to Paris, said:

"Working as a team in a group bike ride shows how much better things are with good support behind you. It must be so difficult for isolated or vulnerable individuals to manage themselves when confronted with the serious challenges life can bring and WLM is there to try and help them. WLM are inspiring us to push ourselves to help those who need it most."
