WLM St Luke’s Neighbourhood Hub is a friendly, relaxed community space in Kennington. We offer ways to help you get more confident in managing your money as well as supporting you in using computers and getting online.

New to online learning?  We will help you get online with phone support and practice video calls.

Money Matters courses

  • Shopping and supermarket tricks
  • Budgeting
  • Understanding credit and debt
  • Saving money on fuel bills
  • Getting better at talking about money

Money Champions courses

This shorter course gives solid information about what to do if you are worrying about money – information you can share with friends, neighbour and family. You will learn how to cut costs fast and where to get help if you are struggling with money or in a debt crisis.  We look at:

  • Causes of debt
  • Top tips for cutting bills
  • Spotting the signs someone is struggling with money worries
  • Local and national debt agencies

Social Media Safety courses

This course helps learners to understand the risks of being online on social media, sharing information safe and fake news as well as looking at different social media platforms.  Scambusters courses

This course equips learners to protect themselves from the scourge of scams which have exploded during the pandemic.  It will cover how to spot scams, from catfishing to fake courier texts, how to protect personal information and keep safe online and what to do if you are affected. We help learners become more confident through practical activities and creating a personal action plan to be safer online.

Get Connected courses

This course empowers learners to gain the digital skills needed to connect safely online and to build confidence using the internet. You might have questions about how to set up social media accounts, use different apps or improve you skills with email, organizes Using tools such as WhatsApp, Gmail or Zoom you can improve you social or family ties, get better access to support networks and get new interest hobbies. Through practical activities we will set up accounts, compare platforms and practice using them effectively and safely in a friendly, fun environment.

*The courses are mainly for Lambeth residents and are free for people on certain benefits or earning less than the London living wage, with a small fee for anyone else. They’re funded by the GLA and Lambeth Adult Learning Service.
