Position Available: Purposeful Activities Worker

Hours: Full time

Salary: £29,194 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)

Location: WLM Katherine Price Hughes House Approved Premise - Islington, London


We are looking for a proactive, engaging individual to lead on the development of our purposeful activities programme for residents at our Approved Premise

WLM has been working in the community in London since 1887. We currently work in Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster and Islington with a focus on PTS Coaching, Hubs & Residential Services, Counselling & Therapeutic Services and Criminal Justice Services. WLM is a values led organisation. Our people are the heart of what we do. We have recently embarked on developing an asset-based approach in partnership with Mayday Trust building on our work embedding recovery and psychologically informed approaches

ABOUT THE SERVICE

Katherine Price Hughes House (KPH) is an Approved Premise for men leaving prison.  West London Mission has been working with people leaving prison for over 80 years and run KPH in partnership with the Ministry of Justice.  KPH’s aim is to provide every resident with a transforming experience which enables safe rehabilitation into the community and personal growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Using a strengths-based approach to design, implement a programme of purposeful activities, fully utilising co-production to ensure that all activity is aligned to support residents to engage in their recovery and develop strategies for increased wellbeing in the future.

Whilst the core hours are Monday to Friday, the role requires the ability to work flexibly when required, which will include working evenings and weekends.
