WLM has been working in the community in London since 1887. We currently work in Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster and Islington providing a range of services supported accommodation for ex-military personnel, a residential care home for men managing an addiction to alcohol, an approved premise for men coming out of prison, advice and support for people experiencing homelessness, affordable and accessible counselling in the community, and financial resilience services.

We are building on our bank of Relief Workers in two of our services.  These services are:

  • WLM The Haven is a CQC registered care home for men with chronic alcohol addiction.  It offers long term care and accommodation, providing a stable environment using a harm-reduction approach.
  • WLM Katherine Price Hughes (WLM KPH) is an Independent Approved Premise for men leaving prison and its aim is to provide every resident with a transforming experience, which enables personal growth and safe rehabilitation into the community.

We are looking for Relief Workers to help us deliver support to our clients in various locations across London on a flexible and casual basis covering daytime and night shifts. 

Please note that hours for this role are not fixed and you will instead be offered work when it is available. WLM has no obligation to provide work and you will have no obligation to take work that is offered.

Our Relief Workers will be responsible for a wide range of duties which could include working with clients, health & safety checks and day to day running of the service. 

You will be highly motivated, committed to delivering professional and client-focused service to our clients including some with multiple and complex needs.

You will be covering annual leave, sickness and gaps in the rota and will be supported and fully inducted by the management team into the service you are allocated to.
