WLM Seymour Place service helps those who are sleeping rough. We offer both emergency help and long-term housing solutions. We provide hot breakfasts, showers, healthcare, clothing, haircuts, luggage storage and mail collection service. Most importantly, we help between 20-30 people move into stable accommodation every month and support them to settle into their accommodation.

Every day up to 100 street homeless people come to Seymour Place. We assess everyone so that we can help them in the most effective way possible. We have a good network of accommodation providers and try and get people off the streets as quickly as we can. We also assist with finding paid work and claiming benefits.

We adopt a holistic response to people’s needs and the other services provided at WLM Seymour Place include:

• NHS nurse every day

• NHS counsellor once a week

• NHS podiatrist once a week

• Fortnightly opticians providing free eye tests and glasses

• Visiting dental services

• Weekly mental health services

• Support with drugs and alcohol issues

• Immigration advice and support

• Job coaching

• Weekly art group, with Westminster Adult Education Services

• Running club

• Music workshops with musicians from the Academy of St Martin’s

• English classes

• Spirituality discussion group with the Chaplain

• Board games and table tennis

• Football sessions

Between October and May, we also coordinate the WLM Night Shelter across Westminster which includes thirteen churches of different denominations, a synagogue and a mosque. This provides emergency accommodation for up to 15 homeless people per night.
